I am trying and always try to remember our Veterans when I write, though as I am sure you know I have my days! I thank you for the lovely comment and no salute necessary! I should be thanking you. I hope you know that there are still those who know each and every sacrifice you gave. Much love to you~

@Jason, I do remember you! How could I forget you! I just cried this morning to see your comment awaiting in my inbox and your good news. I am SO proud of you and you should be proud of yourself! You didn't need a boot up your ass, but just a gentle nudge. I am no Dear Abby because you had the courage, the spunk, the fight and the determination...all I did was remind you. You BOTH did it and I hope that you continue to work on it. Remember every day will bring new challenges, you will have bad days and please for the love of God...remember that your wife will too! Soooooo proud of you Jason. You made my day with this and please know that my inbox is still open for both of you anytime. It might take me a bit to get back with you but I will. Keep swimming honey! ~USM

@ Leanna, I hope you know now you aren't alone at all. That was my goal for this whole blog was so people like me aren't alone at all! It is more than fine that you printed out my blogs for the therapy appointments! I have heard that many times and I am glad my words are helping so many others find theirs. You my dear girl, have tons of courage...more than you think. You sought others, found what you were looking for, took the initiative to print out what you thought you needed to say and what you needed to be heard. You stood up for yourself and made your voice be heard. That takes courage honey. You are just as courageous so don't sell yourself short! I didn't do anything, YOU did this and don't ever forget that. Know that you are never alone and am honored to have a new friend in KS! ~USMUncle Sam's Mistresshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01179663021921239430noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4084876361608306937.post-16742218623659641462011-10-20T04:58:33.011-07:002011-10-20T04:58:33.011-07:00Congrats USM! I kinda felt like I shouldnt be complaining because there are some like you that have been through hell, but you get it. You get all of us. I read this and I cried for you in happiness! It made me proud and now I feel like I too can fight. I dont wanna give up anymore. I printed out some of your blogs (hope thats ok) and gave to our therapist. She was blown away and asked me what did I feel about all you said. I told this is how I feel. Exactly how I feel. My husband said later he had no idea and now recognizes me more and accepts my help to him. I want to say thank you. I feel better knowing Im not alone and you are there with humer, honesty and letting people see inside what goes on. I wish I had your courage and admire you greatly. Anyway, thank you for all you have done for me and my husband. You have a faithful reader in KS. Keep up the good work and celebrate this victory you deserve it. You are like the Dear Abbie for us Veterans and families. You saved my marriage and pushed me to get help. You may not remember me, but I wrote to you for help last year. I know you were busy, but you probably saved my life and took time to listen. Most of us don't want to talk to a stranger and I was the one whose therapist blamed my wife for everything. You put the boot up my ass and got me going and I realized my wife was always there. I am happy to report I haven't had a drink in 16 months and my wife and I are doing great. I know you say you don't know what you are talking about, sometimes I think thats the ones we need to listen to. I hope you get this and know I am grateful and still a fan. You followed me through and gave my wife a reason to find new strength. I just want to say thank you for all the information, your story and your honesty. You never failed to recognize us Veterans and our families, but the families are the brave ones. I want you to remember that you didn't give up. You give us all courage. I am saluting you USM. Keep up the fight, for all of us.
